Takst Team has been in the Norwegian assessment business for over 35 years.
During that time, it has experienced first-hand the deep changes that digitalisation has brought to the industry

Takst Team started to use the in4mo insurance solution in 2012, when it was introduced to a few insurance companies who wanted to digitalise the building claims inspection process in Norway.

in4mo Building Claims brought a lot of immediate benefits, from completing inspection reports from the damage site, to improved communications with claim handlers and policyholders.

At first, the initial reports did not have the detail and depth of traditional inspection reports Takst Team was producing. In those days, assessment reports were created over many days and were often sent to the insurance companies on disks.
In comparison, the in4mo reports were faster to produce and suited to typical building claims.

Takstnett was established in 2016

In 2016, Takst Team partnered with 2 other assessment companies, Takst Sør AS and Nestor Takst AS, to establish Takstnett, Norway’s largest network of independent damage assessment companies. It enabled them to offer a wider set of assessment services over a larger territory to their customers.

Today, the Takstnett partnership is composed of 18 independent companies with 53 offices and over 90 certified inspectors across Norway.

In 2017 Takstnett upgraded to in4mo Contractor Pro

  • To easily share building claims cases among the Takstnett partners
  • To give insurance companies one point of contact for accessing experienced certified inspectors and get property damage assessed anywhere in Norway
  • To automatically collect all the case data in one place for future reference

With in4mo, Takstnett can dispatch the inspector most suited to the type of damage being assessed and deliver the best service

Bjørn Åge Maribu, Takst Team General Manager and Takstnett Chairman

Takstnett assessors provide independent and impartial assessment of any property damage and are regularly asked to testify in court about the nature and extent of damage. In those situations, having access to all the case documentation and history is invaluable.

It is also easy to reconnect to an existing case when an insurance company needs a second opinion.

Bjorn Åge says

the increased transparency that in4mo solutions bring to property damage assessment is just brilliant. All the parties involved work better together and customers are happy to see how fast everything is progressing on their own case page”.

For Takstnett assessors, whether evaluating moderate water damage or large damage caused by fire or a natural event, the most important action is to provide high-quality assessments at speed to enable a successful case resolution.
