Spring and Vappu @ in4mo!

Yesterday we celebrated the Labor Day (Vappu in Finnish) and the official start of the spring season on the 1st of May.

As in4mo is a Finnish company, we celebrated with the traditional and homemade drink Sima and the pastry Munkki – which I can tell you were really delicious!

Vappu is a big festival in Finland where we kickstart the spring with joyful and colorful celebration. In the city center of Helsinki there are many fun activities, for instance, students of the local universities put a cap on the statue Manta (Havis Amanda) in an elaborate ceremony on Vappu’s eve at 6 PM.

After the Manta ceremony, the students and the locals gather up in Kaivopuisto park and celebrate it all together by singing, eating, and drinking in a friendly atmosphere; even passers-by are warmly welcomed to join their celebration.
